What we surround ourselves with becomes our life.

I like surrounding myself with beauty.

I am constantly inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, where the Cascades meet the coast and the ferns grow taller than me. I felt the call from over on the east coast, choosing Washington as my new home for the beauty and breadth of its wild places, and Seattle for its proximity to those places.

I never imagined living in a “big city” yet here I am in the middle of downtown Seattle, feeling more at one with nature than I thought possible in an urban environment. This is truly the most green and naturally beautiful city in the country.

And even if I don’t make it out into nature every day—these prints reminds me of the serenity of nature. My own inner haven amid the noise. There is beauty everywhere, if we look—and if we prioritize it.
