On the cusp:

of summer, warmth.

Of brightening,

growth.

Of longer days,

enlightenment,

Of feet against

earth, snowmelt.

Rivers bountiful, vast and

ready. Surging.

At close of darkness, at coming of sun,

a floodgate opens.

There is much to come.
